Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Case Manager to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. As a Case Manager, you will provide specialized support to low-income youth and young adults who have experienced foster care, homelessness, disconnection from school, juvenile justice, and other systems. Your primary goal will be to help them develop the skills necessary to live independently.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualized support to youth and young adults in education, employment, housing, and other designated fields, helping them achieve their goals.
  2. Build strong relationships with program participants to deliver high-quality services.
  3. Develop and maintain individualized, strengths-based, youth-driven service plans.
  4. Collaborate with community partners to plan and facilitate activities, including visits to relevant resources.
  5. Support participant success in key domains such as safe and stable housing, permanent connections to supportive adults, education and employment, health and well-being, and life skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience working with teens or young adults in employment, foster care, group care, housing, education, juvenile justice, anti-poverty, vocational support, mental health, chemical dependency, and/or homelessness fields.
  • Ability to teach effective independence skills for various learning styles and plan supportive activities.
  • Strong youth engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
