The **PROSPER** (Passaic-Ramapo Onramp to Student Persistence & Employment Readiness) initiative is a federally funded Title V program in collaboration with Ramapo College of NJ. This project aims to empower Hispanic and economically disadvantaged students by equipping them with essential skills and knowledge for academic achievement and future success. The focus of the initiative includes student support, practical learning experiences, and faculty enhancement.
We are in search of a proactive Program Coordinator for the **PROSPER** initiative to manage the daily operations of the program and report directly to the Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing project execution to ensure that goals are achieved.
- Leading project staff to ensure that activities are consistent with the approved proposal.
- Tracking the budget to ensure effective use of funds.
- Fostering and maintaining partnerships to enhance project initiatives.
- Assisting faculty with curriculum alignment and departmental procedures.
- Assessing faculty development needs and creating suitable plans.
- Engaging employers in educational initiatives and alignment activities.
- Coordinating faculty workshops and educational programs.
- Developing a collection of online resources.
- Investigating and disseminating applied learning methodologies.
- Introducing E-Portfolios to faculty participating in pilot initiatives.
- Compiling reports for project stakeholders.
- Participating in project management and Advisory Council meetings.
- Contributing to project evaluation and sustainability strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experienced educator or administrator with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Master's degree in Education or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in undergraduate education.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
The selected candidate will be required to undergo a background verification as part of the hiring process.
