Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Consultant - ICPC to join our team at the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management. As a Program Consultant - ICPC, you will be responsible for managing an ICPC caseload to ensure the safety of youth in foster care and public and private adoption and transfer residential placement paperwork to the Local Department of Social Services (LDSS) and various states timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage ICPC caseload to ensure the safety of youth in foster care and public and private adoption and transfer residential placement paperwork to the Local Department of Social Services (LDSS) and various states timely and accurately.
  • Conduct ICPC training with LDSS staff, courts, private attorneys and other partners.
  • Forward paperwork that will allow children to move into a safe, secure, and stable placement.
Requirements
  • Considerable social work practice in a local department of social services.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply federal and state policies and procedures.
  • Considerable knowledge of local agency organizational structure and practices.
  • Experience working with customers and resolving complex issues.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a variety of different team members and audiences.
  • Experience with case management.
  • Understanding of racial disparity and inequality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge working with ICPC.
  • Understanding of Kinship practices.
