Key Responsibilities- Accurately capture and maintain patient registration data for outpatient services
- Query databases to provide continuity of patient care within a single medical record number
- Establish billing accounts in Epic to ensure accurate charging for services rendered
- Complete insurance verification, including eligibility checking and benefits verification
- Schedule patient appointments in Epic Cadence and answer multiline phone calls
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
- Medical terminology and understanding of insurance policies and co-pay requirements
- Working knowledge of clinic processes and procedures
- Accuracy in spelling and 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Associate degree in business, medical reception, or related field
- Proven proficiency on various applications of the Epic system
- Ability to type at least 40 WPM accurately
