Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory testing using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Set up and run lab tests, reading and releasing results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Specialize in one or more areas, including Hematology, Chemistry/Endocrinology, Urinalysis, or Cytology.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required; a Science-related degree is preferred.
  • Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) is a plus.
  • Ability to set up, run, and read lab tests, and operate laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting, and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers).
  • Positive attitude, teamwork skills, attention to detail, and ability to work reliably and precisely.
  • Meet physical requirements, including standing and sitting for extended periods, phone and computer use, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
