Medical Laboratory Technician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Medical Clinic of Houston, L.L.P. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory, working under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor to perform a variety of routine clinical laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain manual and automatic laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Prepare and standardize chemicals, reagents, and solutions for testing
  • Utilize the Laboratory Information System for test orders and results
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies and procedures, as well as CAP and CLIA regulations
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems and instrument/equipment operation
  • Experience with Roche Cobas system is a plus
  • MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent is preferred
