Job Summary

Constellation Health Services is seeking a compassionate and organized Volunteer Manager to lead our volunteer program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all volunteer program activities. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive volunteer training and orientation program.
  • Recruit, educate, and select volunteers from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Establish strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to identify volunteer opportunities and needs.
  • Assign, coordinate, and supervise volunteer activities, including direct patient care, clerical, bereavement, fundraising, and special projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, mileage, and activities.
  • Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Prepare statistical reports on volunteer activities and hours, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement teams to enhance volunteer program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as human services or healthcare.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in volunteer management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
