Job Summary

As a Damage Prevention QA QC Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of markouts submitted by our Markout Technicians. You will provide quality controls and assurance for gas operation required system protection activities, coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to protect our gas distribution facilities. Your analytical skills will be essential in providing quantitative analysis for required gas operations activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct quality control checks on main and service markouts completed by our Markout Technicians.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure system protection of our gas distribution facilities.
- Conduct audits of completed mark out requests to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Report hazardous and abnormal operating conditions to contractor representatives and supervisors.
- Assist Markout Technicians with main and service locates to achieve quality mark outs.
- Review available maps and records to ensure accuracy of information for markouts.
- Investigate and coordinate resolution of mapping issues between field operations and technical services.
- Act as the competent company representative during excavations near critical facilities.
- Submit QA/QC inspection and audit forms on markouts completed by Markout Technicians.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in locating underground utilities.
- Knowledge of field computers, software applications, database management, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of gas operations, construction procedures, safety manuals, emergency response procedures, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of construction maps and drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred.
- Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience or High School/GED with the completion of the relevant progression program and 8 years relevant experience required.
