Non-Acute Care Professional

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, a Joint Commission-accredited facility, is seeking a talented Registered Nurse to join our team in a non-acute environment. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
About the Position
This is a flexible opportunity, with short-term and long-term assignments available. You will have the chance to work in various departments, including Labor & Delivery, Med/Surg 2South and 3West, Pediatrics, ICU, Porter Heart & Vascular, Denali Center, TVC Family Medicine, TVC 1st Care, TVC OBGYN, and TVC Endocrinology. Our hospital offers a strong patient-to-nurse ratio, a culture of Shared Leadership, and is proud member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, utilizing evidence-based practices and patient preferences
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting healthy behaviors and self-management skills
Requirements
Must possess a valid current or temporary Alaska RN license. Requires knowledge and skills normally demonstrated by an Associate's degree in nursing. BLS certification is required. May require ACLS, PALS, or additional certification and/or continuing education based on area of practice.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
