A growing Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is expanding its Acquisitions team in NYC. With over $6B in Assets Under Management (AUM), the firm acquires over half a billion in assets annually and manages over 5,000 properties across the US. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of a larger parent company with over $90B in assets, the firm specializes in acquiring ground leases for existing telecom assets such as cell towers, cell sites, and billboards. We're seeking a sales-focused individual to join the team and contribute to sourcing deals in this space.

Job Description:

This role involves generating leads and identifying potential acquisition opportunities. You will be responsible for conducting outbound calls to property owners, building rapport, and setting appointments for our acquisitions team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at communicating with prospective clients throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outbound calls to assess potential sellers' interest in selling their ground leases.
  • Maintain and manage a database of leads and follow up with prospects as needed.
  • Qualify leads by gathering relevant information about properties, motivations, and timelines for selling.
  • Schedule appointments for the acquisitions team to meet with potential sellers.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while communicating with prospects.
  • Meet weekly and monthly call and lead generation metrics.
  • Track and maintain call records and outcomes, and report on key metrics to assess performance and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will possess strong cold calling experience, a desire to step into the Commercial Real Estate field, and a willingness to learn from the ground up. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take your sales skills and transition into a career in commercial real estate. $80-$110 per hour, plus bonus opportunities based on closed deals, are available to successful candidates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience in cold calling, sales, or lead generation, preferably in real estate
  • Interest in commercial real estate
  • Ability to work in an office environment, 5 days a week, in NYC
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented individual
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
