Radiologic Technologist I

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Proficiently perform basic to advanced radiologic procedures, including positioning patients and selecting exposure factors.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
- Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Assist and communicate with radiologists, work independently, and provide education to students and staff.
- Prepare and maintain records, enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond high school in radiologic technology.
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in a radiologic technologist role.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the day. May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids.
