Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Electrophysiology Lab. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating angiographic and ultrasound equipment to perform procedures on inpatients and outpatients. Your expertise will be essential in assisting physicians with interventional and surgical procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate angiographic and ultrasound equipment to perform procedures on inpatients and outpatients
  • Assist physicians with interventional and surgical procedures
  • Provide exceptional patient care and monitor patients for life-threatening changes in status
  • Identify and process images, ensuring diagnostic quality
  • Assist clinical engineering staff in evaluating digital equipment to maintain consistent image quality
  • Compare requisitions to physician orders to ensure ordered exam accuracy
  • Post-process images as directed and accurately identify and label images
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system
  • Document billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges
  • Serve as a technical resource, role model, and/or preceptor for students and staff
  • Facilitate clinical problem-solving and collaborate with other departments to provide education on managing patients after procedures
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in an Interventional Radiologic Technologist role
