We are seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to join our team at AWS Enterprise Support. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to our Public Sector Partners, helping them to achieve the greatest value from AWS.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Educating and empowering customers to get the most out of AWS
  • Ensuring AWS workloads have risk mitigations in place and adhere to operationally sound practices
  • Using Bias For Action and Customer Obsession to proactively lead customers to long-term success

  • Developing customer partnerships to drive alignment of priorities, solutions, and business outcomes
  • Demonstrating technical leadership at scale and avoiding pitfalls of thinking small
  • Collaborating with cross-functional AWS teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of work experience, or 5 years of related work experience
  • Experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, Cloud Architect, etc.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience in technical engineering or systems architecture
  • Understanding of operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following domains: AIML / Compute / Storage / Serverless Architectures / Networking / CDN / Databases / DevOps / Big Data and Analytics / Security / Applications Development in a distributed systems environment
  • Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting for four (4) or more of the following: AIML / Compute / Storage / Serverless Architectures / Networking / CDN / Databases / DevOps / Big Data and Analytics / Security / Applications Development in a distributed systems environment
  • Experience in Informational Technology operations
  • Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead
  • Executive level technical consulting experience
  • Programming or scripting skills with a combination of Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP
  • Previous experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, DevOps Engineer, etc.
  • Professional experience with cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools including Continuous Integration / Deployment, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, etc.
