Senior Technical Account Manager for Public Sector Partners

We are seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to join our team at AWS Enterprise Support. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to our Public Sector Partners, helping them to achieve the greatest value from AWS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Educating and empowering customers to get the most out of AWS
- Ensuring AWS workloads have risk mitigations in place and adhere to operationally sound practices
- Using Bias For Action and Customer Obsession to proactively lead customers to long-term success
- Working with a range of customer stakeholders from developers to C-suite executives
- Developing customer partnerships to drive alignment of priorities, solutions, and business outcomes
- Demonstrating technical leadership at scale and avoiding pitfalls of thinking small
- Collaborating with cross-functional AWS teams

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of work experience, or 5 years of related work experience
- Experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, Cloud Architect, etc.
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience in technical engineering or systems architecture
- Understanding of operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following domains: AIML / Compute / Storage / Serverless Architectures / Networking / CDN / Databases / DevOps / Big Data and Analytics / Security / Applications Development in a distributed systems environment
- Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting for four (4) or more of the following: AIML / Compute / Storage / Serverless Architectures / Networking / CDN / Databases / DevOps / Big Data and Analytics / Security / Applications Development in a distributed systems environment
- Experience in Informational Technology operations
- Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead
- Executive level technical consulting experience
- Programming or scripting skills with a combination of Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, DevOps Engineer, etc.
- Professional experience with cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools including Continuous Integration / Deployment, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, etc.
