Front Desk Coordinator

Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is a leading anti-poverty organization dedicated to ending homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester County, providing emergency, transitional, and permanent housing to vulnerable populations.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Monitor to join our team. As a Front Desk Monitor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, residents, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, taking messages, and routing deliveries.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
- Perform crisis intervention and follow assigned procedures in emergency situations.
- Conduct rounds at the residence as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Certifications in security, CPR/First Aid, and Fire Safety (F-80) required.
