Job Description

The Sales Team Leader is a key position responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of a Design Sales team. This role will execute strategies to drive sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction within a geographic area to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement plans to drive new business and relationships in the assigned markets.
  • Recruit, Train, Lead, and Develop Associates: Recruit, train, and lead a team of associates in all areas of job-specific responsibilities.
  • Define Goals and Objectives: Clearly define goals and objectives for Showroom personnel to measure performance and regularly communicate these objectives to personnel.
  • Log Client Interactions: Log all client showroom visits, contact information, and customer preference and selection notes in CMT.
  • Promote the Showroom: Promote the showroom through all aspects of marketing/media and events concentrating on optimizing exposure.
  • Maintain Design Aid Tools: Maintain and update design aid tools that help secure customer sales.
  • Making Sales Calls: Make outside sales calls and follow up on leads as needed.
  • Safe Operations: Responsible for the safe operations of the Gallery, including proper opening and closing of the store.
  • Host Events: Plan and host events to draw new customers into the Showroom.
  • Maintain Showroom Samples: Maintain showroom samples and merchandising.
  • Attend Industry Events: Attend industry-related events to network and promote the showroom.
  • Decision Making: Make decisions on behalf of the team within the parameters of the unit or sub-unit.
  • Recommendations: Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction to the team according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Work Schedules: Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.
  • Team Support: Act as an advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved in resolving problems.
  • Problem Solving: Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies.
  • Issue Resolution: Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.
