Role of the RN Unit Manager

As an RN Unit Manager at Greater Med Staffing, your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional and empathetic care to patients across various nursing facilities. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and educate patients and their families. Your expertise in clinical judgment and critical thinking will be essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough physical assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Gathering and interpreting patient information
  • Creating and executing personalized care strategies
  • Administering medications, treatments, and medical procedures
  • Monitoring and assessing patient progress
  • Documenting and communicating patient details accurately
  • Providing education to patients and families regarding health issues, prevention, and wellness
  • Coordinating with other healthcare professionals
  • Overseeing and guiding LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel
  • Engaging in quality enhancement and research initiatives

Qualifications Required

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A valid RN license in the relevant state
  • BLS certification and any additional certifications pertinent to the specialty or facility
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
  • The capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
