Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Support Coordinator to join our team at Hospice of Central Pennsylvania. As a key member of our Information Technology Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our organization's computer users, ensuring seamless operation of our systems, and contributing to the overall success of our team.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-User Computer Support (60%)
  • Organize, document, and prioritize all incoming support requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoot complex information systems problems and provide expert support to end-users, with a focus on Suncoast Solutions and Microsoft Windows.
  • Collaborate with other IT department staff to resolve advanced support issues and ensure seamless communication.
  • Communicate effectively with software vendors to resolve enhancements and unresolved issues.
IT Department Support (20%)
  • Assist with routine maintenance and monitoring functions of software applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain the department's resource and support schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Support other staff in the Information Technology Department with routine functions and special projects as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of recommendations to improve and enhance the organization's overall utilization of technology, and assist in implementing enhancements and solutions where appropriate.
Hardware Support (15%)
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on hardware to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Assist in deploying and staging smartphones, desktops, and laptops to ensure seamless integration.
Systems Account Management (5%)
  • Setup new user accounts in various systems to ensure secure access.
  • Protect the organization's software and systems by managing user accounts, assigning access privileges, recognizing potential security risks, and reporting any known violations.

As a representative of Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, you will be expected to:

  • Ensure that quality, integrity, and professionalism are valued and maintained, and adhere to organization expectations for professional conduct.
  • Work to assure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and the requirements of certifying and accrediting bodies.
  • Recognize your individual role as a representative of the organization and convey a positive organizational image.
  • Promote awareness of Hospice of Central Pennsylvania and perform in a manner that instills confidence in all programs, services, and activities.
  • Identify professional development needs and seek opportunities to maintain and enhance knowledge.

  • Perform other related functions as assigned.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential job function.
Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with:

  • A high school graduate or GED.
  • Previous computer support, help-desk, or Suncoast/electronic medical record experience preferred.
  • Good computer skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Comfort with Apple smartphones preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and office productivity software required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language and to work cooperatively with other staff.
  • Able to operate and utilize general office equipment including a computer, fax machine, copier, smartphone, telephone, and telephone services.
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds and climb a small ladder or utilize a step stool.
