Role Summary:
The Credit & Collections Representative plays a crucial role in managing the collection of outstanding transactions and overseeing the analysis of orders pending release through our ERP system. This position is also tasked with assessing credit for both new and existing clients, with a primary focus on recovering payments from overdue accounts. Responsibilities include collecting account balances, addressing disputes, and providing timely updates on collection efforts within the ERP system.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess the ability to evaluate significant financial data and make informed decisions regarding the release of orders based on overdue balances, credit limits, payment history, and terms. Additionally, they will implement effective strategies to recover past-due accounts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience in commercial credit and collections, with a solid understanding of standard collection practices and the ability to analyze order release processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring proper grammar in all business correspondence.
- Excellent time management abilities, capable of multitasking while managing various customer accounts.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and follow-through on assignments with minimal supervision.
