Associate Director for Continuous Quality Improvement

The University of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director for Continuous Quality Improvement to join their team. This role will support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that Cultivate Learning's core value of increasing access to high-quality, equitable learning environments for children, youth, and families is met.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, strategic thinking, and a process for continuous quality improvement to align the learnings from Washington state system evaluation efforts to professional development initiatives. They will also oversee the management of content development projects across coaching and professional development initiatives for Washington, including project management and oversight, management of large content projects, work with external partners, and timely delivery and tracking of contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and strategic thinking to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Oversee the management of content development projects across coaching and professional development initiatives for Washington
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure alignment and effective delivery of quality improvement initiatives
- Manage and oversee the work of a team, including supervising and leading the work of 3 FTE staff members
- Develop and implement effective systems of communication between project staff and external partners
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, Education and Adult Learning, or Public Policy, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in the field related to early learning, childcare quality, and coaching
- Significant experience in leading a team and overseeing staff development and performance management
- Knowledge of childcare quality research and experience in Early Childhood Education, Professional Development, and Coaching
- Demonstrated independence, initiative, excellent time management and organizational skills, and a sound understanding of task prioritization
- Doctoral degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, or related field
- Experience in project administration, leadership, and management
- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and strong presentation skills
- Ability to think critically and strategically, identifying creative approaches to problem solving
