  • Position Overview: As a Culinary Specialist at Bar Louie, your primary responsibility is to ensure that every patron enjoys a delightful dining experience through the exquisite "gastrogrub" you create. Your innate hospitality shines through, demonstrating genuine care for guests. You strike a balance between professionalism and enjoyment, with a steadfast commitment to cleanliness, adherence to recipes, and impeccable presentation. Your ability to work swiftly and manage multiple tasks makes you a vital member of our gastrobar team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Embody Bar Louie's Mission, Vision, and Values on a daily basis.
  • Exhibit a strong dedication to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Thoroughly understand the menu to prepare each dish precisely according to specifications.
  • Ensure all meals are served at optimal temperatures and coordinated for each table.
  • Manage costs effectively by preparing each dish accurately.
  • Keep your workstation clean and organized, practicing cleanliness as you work.
  • Collaborate independently or as part of a team across various stations.
  • Communicate efficiently with Management and colleagues.
  • Complete opening and closing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Strictly follow health and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills with Managers and Team Members.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Capability to follow instructions with precision.
  • Proficient in memorizing and preparing menu items to exact specifications.
  • Safe handling of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to maintaining high personal hygiene standards.
Education and Experience:
  • Culinary training is preferred.
  • Familiarity with restaurant preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Food safety certification as required by law.
  • 3-6 months of relevant experience or training.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Frequent twisting, reaching, and grasping of objects.
  • Capability to work in both hot and cold environments for extended periods.
  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Regular hand washing and sanitation practices.
  • Proficient use of food preparation equipment.
