AAC Inc Cybersecurity Lead Job Description

Job Summary:

AAC Inc is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer for a government customer in North Carolina. As the lead engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the RMF and cybersecurity performance of our contract's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer, employee, vendor, and partner expectations to ensure the overall success of this work and AAC's prestige.
  • Lead, manage, and demonstrate a deep understanding of federal RMF and cybersecurity policies, solutions, and protocols.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity solutions, utilizing strong analytical skills and effective communication.
  • Author, edit, and maintain design documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (800 series) on Computer Security.
  • Lead application and system security initiatives, providing technical expertise in designing secure public-facing and internal-facing services and APIs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or Engineering, or four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree requirement.
  • Minimum five years of experience analyzing information security systems and applications, recommending, and developing security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss.
  • Understanding of and experience in applying FIPS and NIST 800 series on Computer Security.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.

Work Environment:

This role will be fully onsite in Durham, North Carolina, and requires eligibility to obtain a Public Trust.
