AAC Inc. Seeks Cybersecurity Expert

AAC Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to fill the role of Lead Cybersecurity Engineer for a government customer in North Carolina. As the lead engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the RMF and cybersecurity performance of our contract's requirements.

This position requires a person who can lead, manage, and demonstrate a deep understanding of federal RMF and cybersecurity policies, solutions, and protocols. Cybersecurity solutions, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cybersecurity initiatives and provide technical expertise in designing secure public-facing and internal-facing services and APIs.
  • Develop and implement security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss.
  • Conduct vulnerability analysis, security evaluation, and testing, certification, and accreditation, and incident reporting and remediation.
  • Author, edit, and maintain design documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or Engineering, or four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree requirement.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience analyzing information security systems and applications.
  • Understanding of and experience in applying Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (800 series) on Computer Security.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.

This role will be fully onsite in Durham, North Carolina, and require eligibility to obtain a Public Trust.
