Role Description:

We are seeking a self-starting and dynamic Environmental Noise Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Noise Specialist, you will provide high-quality noise assessments, pre-and-post construction noise surveys, and modeling noise impacts. You will also provide noise mitigation recommendations to our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an acoustic professional looking to advance their career with a global design and engineering company. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse project portfolio, including projects in the energy, industrial, and transport sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement noise assessments, including background noise surveys and noise impact modeling for facilities and linear infrastructure.
  • Perform noise impact analyses for Environmental Assessment and Impact Statements for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state environmental policy programs.
  • Collaborate with our Air and Noise Community of Practice to ensure technical review of documents and support the expansion of our acoustical services globally.
  • Work within quality, budget, and schedule expectations and scope specific assignments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in acoustics, engineering, environmental science, or a related field of study.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in acoustic engineering or consulting.
  • Experience with Cadna/A noise prediction software.
  • Ability to travel and work in the field collecting data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree.

About the Role:

This role will primarily be office-based, with occasional field assignments and travel up to 15%. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a diverse team and have the capacity to balance varying priorities.

Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. You will have the opportunity to work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of project and client teams.
