Special Events Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Manager to join our team at The Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Job SummaryThe Event Manager will be responsible for coordinating and executing special events, meetings, and conferences. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual equipment.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide personalized service to ensure their satisfaction.
- Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure financial transparency.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to promote events and drive revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to secure the best rates and services for our clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in event planning or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning software.
