Oncology Infusion RN Specialist at Southwestern Medical Center

We are currently seeking an Oncology Infusion RN to join our team at Southwestern Medical Center. This is a permanent placement opportunity that offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and a dynamic work environment.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment. This will involve assessing patients' needs, administering medications, and monitoring their response to treatment. You will also be required to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs
- Administer chemotherapy treatments, including infusion therapy, and monitor patients' response to treatment
- Conduct regular patient assessments, and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and allied health staff, to ensure seamless delivery of care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout the treatment process
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a current RN license in Texas, as well as AHA BLS certification. You should also have at least 2 years of experience in Oncology/Infusion nursing, with a strong background in chemotherapy administration and vascular access device management. EPIC charting experience and Alaris IV pump proficiency are also highly desirable.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience
