About the Role

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative treatments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
  • Synthesize data to develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills relevant to specialty and training.
  • Provide management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant program.
  • Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing or licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • One year of Infusion, Hematology, or Oncology experience preferred.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
