Job Title: Automation / Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation / Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Novonesis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation and instrumentation solutions to improve our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation and instrumentation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide technical expertise to the maintenance and production departments to ensure smooth operation of plant systems and equipment.
  • Identify and develop training needs for the maintenance group to ensure that skill levels are managed and advanced as needed to support plant systems and equipment.
  • Identify, analyze, and reduce equipment downtime along with identified repetitive electrical or control failures, and interact cross-functionally to develop process understanding to resolve issues or improve processes.
  • Manage and maintain control schematics for plant process systems.
  • Calibrate equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience in maintenance in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electrical and controls system maintenance & troubleshooting, specifically with PLCs, VFDs, Servos and HMI's.
  • Ability to work with integrator to improve systems or resolve issues.
  • Experience with RSLinx, RSLogix 500/5000 Software, and SCADA Software (Wonderware/Factory Talk View) SEEQ.
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet IP components and networking.
