Position Summary

ABM is seeking a dedicated and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our client's facilities. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing environment for occupants.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay: $21.70/hr (Hourly rate may vary based on experience and qualifications)

Essential Functions:

  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of buildings and facilities, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.
  • Maintain building equipment and systems by performing routine inspections, minor repairs, and reporting any major issues to management.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, compliance standards, and quality procedures established by ABM and regulatory authorities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to undertake various tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize floors using appropriate methods and equipment, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Follow established procedures for the use of cleaning solutions and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures.
  • Dust furniture, walls, windows, light fixtures, and other surfaces to maintain a clean and presentable environment.
  • Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal practices.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and repairing minor damage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning or maintenance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
