Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs of facilities and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective support
- Respond to emergency situations and internal customer concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vendor interactions
- Collaborate with the facilities manager to develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a related field
- Trade school certification
- Experience with computer-aided maintenance management systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Work at heights and in confined spaces
- Exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards
