Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our Materials Management team in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the material acquisition plans for the Aragorn program within the Leidos National Security Sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reports to monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
  • Coordinate forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
  • Provide expert advice to the program on optimal routes for materials management and sourcing.
  • Place orders through purchasing cards within a specific spend threshold/limit.
  • Analyze material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, and acquisition planning.
  • Engage with the supply chain to determine optimal acquisition strategies.
  • Manage production and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate with internal and client project team members.
Requirements
  • TS/SCI FSP clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Excel experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Buying experience.
  • Supply Chain Management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar systems.
