Job Title: Buyer & Planner

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will manage and ensure the purchasing of materials, services, and/or equipment for the assigned purchasing portfolio, within the set procurement policies and guidelines, to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply at optimum cost within specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review production orders on a daily basis to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external customers, including vendors and suppliers.
  • Interface with all levels of management both internally and externally to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Continuously strive to reduce the cost of assigned commodities while maintaining quality and availability.
  • Generate reports to measure key buyer performance metrics and monitor supplier performance.
Requirements
  • 1 year experience in a similar position.
  • High School Diploma, preferred Associate's or bachelor's degree in procurement or a related field.
  • Knowledge of software programs, including MS Office, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Foreign language is a plus, English a must.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of MRP and ERP.
  • 2-4 year college degree or higher in business or related field.
Work Environment
  • This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
