Job Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for cultivating and sustaining a robust network of business relationships that will serve as a continual source of referrals for new lending opportunities. Your role will involve assessing loan applications and collaborating with Credit Analysts and Portfolio Managers to provide thorough evaluations and recommendations for approvals, as well as coordinating the loan closing process to ensure all documentation is accurately prepared and executed. You will also provide technical assistance to both existing and prospective borrowers to enhance their operational efficiency and future business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with current and potential clients within Range Bank's service area, focusing on expanding a portfolio of small business loans.
  • Evaluate prospective clients; build rapport and trust; inquire to uncover client business needs; leverage product and market knowledge effectively; propose solutions that align with customer goals; manage and document the sales process.
  • Actively engage in community initiatives and organizations in a manner that positively reflects on the bank. Maintain strong connections with local businesses, professionals, customers, and prospects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices that support risk management and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work alongside branch personnel to promote and cross-sell additional banking products and services tailored to meet the needs of small business clients.
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships; demonstrate tact and consideration; provide assistance and support to team members; collaborate effectively in group settings; actively work to resolve conflicts. Partner with and support colleagues across the organization.
  • Comply with Range Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and cybersecurity awareness.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services sector with progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer service-oriented role.
  • Strong skills in relationship management and business development/sales.
  • Well-honed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and tax returns.
  • Aptitude for performing calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense in executing instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial institution as a Commercial Loan Officer.
  • Familiarity with loan documentation, credit analysis, and regulations governing the banking industry, as well as the computer systems required for loan analysis.
  • Proven ability and initiative to develop and maintain a portfolio of quality small business loans, delivering excellent customer service and fostering profitable relationships for the bank.
  • Knowledge of Small Business Administration (SBA) loan programs and policies, including 7A & 504.
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, generating leads, closing business, and consistently achieving or exceeding production targets.
  • Established network of referral sources, including business owners, professionals, and other influential contacts.
