Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and develop a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new lending opportunities.
  • Loan Analysis: Analyze loan requests and work with credit analysts and portfolio managers to make recommendations for approvals.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to small business customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Community Involvement: Actively participate in community organizations and activities that reflect favorably on the bank.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with branch staff to promote and cross-sell other banking products and services to meet customers' small business needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skills: Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills, well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Loan Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Loan Officer.
  • Loan Documentation: Understanding of loan documentation, credit analysis, laws and regulations affecting the banking industry, and computer systems necessary to prepare loan analysis.
  • Small Business Lending: Experience in developing and maintaining a portfolio of quality small business loans that provides excellent customer service to the borrower and profitable relationships to the bank.
