Position Overview:
The Clinical Training Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering educational programs aimed at enhancing the orientation and ongoing education of clinical personnel.
Reports to: Director
FLSA: Exempt
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to evaluate the educational needs and competencies of clinical staff.
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational activities and curricula related to clinical competencies, organizational policies, regulatory standards, and clinical information technologies.
- Act as a consultant and mentor for staff in program development, clinical practice, and professional growth.
- Participate in the creation and execution of new staff orientation and educational initiatives.
- Provide guidance, training, coaching, and mentorship to clinical staff.
- Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary processes as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Skills:
Strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to work independently. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond appropriately to challenges.
Licenses:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required.
