Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Copy Operator to join our team at Canon U.S.A., Inc. As a key member of our print center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and solutions for clients' copy/print needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, prioritize, and submit print requests from mainframe/mini/server/desktop according to complexity and urgency.
  • Ensure that output is quality-checked and accurately meets instructions as submitted.
  • Deliver print jobs within established timeframes and maintain logs of all work submitted and completed, including service logs.
  • Responsible for minor maintenance of reproduction equipment by solving paper jams, placing service calls, and conducting routine cleaning.
  • Take meter readings of each duplicating machine on a daily basis and monitor inventory of print supplies, stock paper, and toners.
  • Inform clients of estimated completion time, clarify unclear instructions, and resolve complaints to client satisfaction.
  • Assist in opening and closing the print center and maintaining a neat and professional environment.
  • Operate high-speed, high-volume digital publishing printers, adjusting image quality, creating folders and directories for print-on-demand orders, and handling special requests from clients.
  • Prepare monthly production and volume reports to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of experience working directly in a print center.
  • Some familiarity with general job functions and minimal understanding of detailed aspects of the job.
  • Knowledge of machine operations from low to high volume high-speed duplicating equipment.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of reproduction-related equipment and systems.
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude, and appearance are essential.
  • Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow directives and handle physical demands.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
