We are seeking a highly skilled Attorney Advisor to join our team at the Department of the Navy. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert advice and guidance on civil and administrative law matters, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and services on civil and administrative law, government ethics, federal litigation, professional responsibility, military justice, and general military law.
- Serve as the principal legal advisor to the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) to the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC) on all civil and administrative law issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with federal regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to resolve complex legal issues.
- Provide training and guidance to Marine Corps personnel on legal matters.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
- Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Experience in providing legal advice and services on civil and administrative law, government ethics, federal litigation, professional responsibility, military justice, and general military law.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
