Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient Care: Assist patients with dialysis treatment, including setting up and operating dialysis machines, monitoring vital signs, and providing education on dialysis procedures.
  • Support Healthcare Team: Collaborate with licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Document Patient Information: Accurately record patient data, including treatment parameters, vital signs, and any notable observations or concerns.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members through clear and timely communication.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; certification in patient care or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills and ability to accurately record patient data.
