Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector plays an essential role in maintaining product excellence and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position demands a keen eye for detail, robust technical expertise, and the capability to perform thorough inspections and evaluations. The inspector will collaborate closely with the quality assurance team to execute inspections, document results, and support ongoing improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Adhere to established inspection protocols and quality control measures to evaluate product conformity and identify discrepancies.
  • Employ various measurement and testing instruments to guarantee precision and accuracy in inspections.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive inspection records, including test outcomes, measurements, and observations.
  • Work alongside the quality assurance team to implement inspection strategies and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Recognize and report quality concerns, deviations, or patterns to management for corrective measures.
  • Keep accurate and organized documentation of inspections, test results, and associated records.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to determine the underlying factors of non-conformances and assist in troubleshooting.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a QA Inspector or in a comparable role, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality control practices, inspection methodologies, and measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, industry-specific standards).
  • Proficient in utilizing measurement and testing devices, such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, and optical comparators.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry, report generation, and document management.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent; technical certifications or further education in quality assurance or related disciplines is advantageous.
