Safe Flight is a pioneer in aviation safety and performance systems, with a rich history of innovation since 1946. Our products are integral to the operation of numerous aircraft worldwide, serving a diverse clientele that includes major aircraft manufacturers and various airlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and evaluations on incoming materials, in-process components, and final products.
- Adhere to established inspection protocols and quality control standards to determine product compliance and identify any discrepancies.
- Employ various measurement and testing instruments to ensure inspections are accurate and reliable.
- Document and maintain comprehensive inspection records, including test outcomes, measurements, and observations.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement inspection strategies and uphold quality standards.
- Identify and report quality concerns, deviations, or trends to management for appropriate corrective measures.
- Maintain organized and precise records of inspections, test results, and related documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to address and resolve quality challenges.
- Engage in root cause analysis to uncover underlying issues related to non-conformances and develop solutions.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a QA Inspector or in a comparable role, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control practices, inspection methodologies, and measurement tools.
- Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficient in utilizing measurement and testing devices, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and report generation.
Education:
- Associate degree or equivalent; technical certifications or further education in quality assurance or related fields are advantageous.
