Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a vital role in maintaining product excellence and ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications. This role demands a keen eye for detail, robust technical expertise, and the capability to conduct thorough inspections and tests with precision. The QA Inspector will collaborate closely with the quality assurance team to execute inspections, document results, and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Adhere to established inspection protocols and quality control standards to evaluate product conformity and identify any discrepancies.
  • Employ various measurement and testing instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability in inspections.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive inspection records, including test outcomes, measurements, and observations.
  • Work in conjunction with the quality assurance team to implement inspection strategies and uphold quality standards and procedures.
  • Recognize and report quality concerns, deviations, or trends to the appropriate manager for corrective measures.
  • Maintain organized and precise records of inspections, test results, and associated documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Engage in root cause analysis to identify fundamental causes of discrepancies and troubleshoot solutions.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a QA Inspector or in a comparable role, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control processes, inspection methodologies, and measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, industry-specific standards).
  • Proficient in utilizing measurement and testing devices, such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, and optical comparators.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry, report generation, and document management.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent; technical certifications or further education in quality assurance or related fields is advantageous.
