Our 6 West unit specializes in Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, providing care for a diverse range of conditions including spinal surgeries, brain tumors, and head and neck cancer. This 30-bed acute care unit offers a dynamic environment for learning and professional development, supported by a team of experienced colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care to promote optimal recovery.
- Perform basic nursing tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Ensure a safe environment and effective delivery of care.
- Engage in administrative support functions as required.
- Maintain necessary skills and competencies in patient care.
Compensation: The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.37 to $23.82.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Experience: No prior experience required; relevant experience is preferred.
- Licensure: Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing; AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification is mandatory.
Physical Demands: The role requires frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of weights ranging from 20 to over 100 lbs (for Home Health Aide only). Proficient communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
