Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at The Whaler Resort. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming smile, using positive and clear communication to ensure a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Process guest registrations, including inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, confirming room rates and amenities, and making any necessary adjustments.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to guests regarding hotel services, local attractions, and outlet hours.
  • Manage guest accounts, including posting charges, handling cash and credit transactions, and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, using effective communication skills to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, including room assignments, amenities, and services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, adhering to hotel standards and protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Previous hotel experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office, with frequent periods of sitting and computer work.
