Udelhoven Companies manages a fleet of Q400 aircraft designed to transport personnel to remote locations. The organization also operates additional aircraft to facilitate the movement of workers and supplies. We are currently in search of a skilled Aviation Support Specialist to enhance our flight and passenger operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various tasks at the airport, ensuring high-quality service and customer interaction.
  • Respond to inquiries about flight and bus schedules.
  • Assist travelers with check-in processes and guide them to the appropriate boarding areas.
  • Safely board and finalize flights in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration, company, and airport regulations. Uphold safety and security protocols.
  • Utilize fundamental skills and procedures relevant to the assigned role.

Additional Duties May Include:

  • Collaborate with travel coordinators to fulfill the travel requirements of personnel supporting operations.
  • Handle phone communications while delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Disseminate flight information to crews, ticket counters, ground support, maintenance coordinators, and operational personnel.
  • Monitor flight activities and provide weather and runway updates to pilots.
  • Adapt to changing operational circumstances due to weather or mechanical challenges.
  • Inform operations and maintenance teams about irregular situations such as diversions or maintenance delays.
  • Compile operational reports.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is variable, with three shifts available. Flexibility to work any shift is required. Typically, the schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work. Overtime may be necessary, and the role may require work during holidays.

Required Qualifications:

  • Intermediate experience level, generally 3-5 years.
  • Progressing towards full competency in the role.
  • Possesses a broad understanding of the field.
  • Identifies issues and formulates potential solutions.
  • Operates within defined decision-making parameters.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an administrative, customer service, or clerical capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with iLogistics or SABRE reservation systems.
  • Experience in aircraft flight monitoring or possession of an FAA Dispatch license.
  • Previous experience in North Slope operations and knowledge of relevant terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a diverse cultural environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to interpret and apply standard operating procedures in an operational context.
  • High integrity and confidentiality.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills.
