Overview
BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a certified professional. Candidates must possess an enhanced ID, Passport, or Military ID due to specific school locations.
The elementary schools have three different start times: 8:10, 8:30, or 9:00 AM, with Wednesday being a late start at 9:10, 9:30, or 10:00 AM. The end times vary between 2:40, 3:00, or 3:30 PM.
As a behavioral technician within the school environment, you will operate under the guidance of a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) or a behavior specialist. Your role will involve providing individualized or group support to students with autism and/or behavioral health challenges. You will apply evidence-based strategies rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to assist students in reaching their academic, social, and emotional objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for collecting and documenting data on student progress, maintaining communication with educators, and engaging in continuous training and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct instructional support to students with autism and/or behavioral health needs across various environments, including classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias.
- Adhere to the individualized education plan (IEP) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) established by the educational institution.
- Employ positive reinforcement and other ABA methodologies to facilitate skill acquisition and mitigate challenging behaviors.
- Gather and document data regarding student performance, behavior, and responses to interventions.
- Communicate any changes or concerns to the teacher and behavior specialist promptly.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student care.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism consistently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, with at least six months of relevant work or volunteer experience in providing individual instruction, preferably in a healthcare context.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation is required to travel between multiple assignments/locations daily.

Salary Information
