We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team at Lilac Learning Center in Tacoma. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one special education to our students with special needs.

As a Behavior Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing skill development strategies and collecting data on student progress
  • Delivering teaching trials and following behavior reduction protocols
  • Communicating with teachers and BCBA staff on student events and progress
  • Documenting student progress and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Providing support to staff members as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation, driver's license, and valid car insurance
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or home setting
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Certified Behavior Technician license
  • CPR certification within 30 days of hire

Working Environment:

  • Exposure to moderate and occasional loud noise from students and equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move with children to maintain effective programming and implement safety procedures
