Senior Financial Accountant

Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Accountant is tasked with ensuring the integrity of financial data, contributing to financial reporting, and upholding compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Preferred certifications include CPA or CMA.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable financial position, preferably within the aerospace or automotive sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in Epicor financial software and other ERP systems.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, reconciliation, and posting of journal entries to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements (including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) in accordance with GAAP.
- Support the development of quarterly and annual budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances in collaboration with the Finance Controller and department leaders.
- Facilitate month-end and year-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and timely financial reporting.
- Enhance internal controls for asset management and compliance, recommending improvements for operational efficiency.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings through comprehensive financial data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, SOX, and audit requirements, assisting in external audits with necessary documentation and responses.
- Monitor cash flow and manage reserves to meet operational needs and optimize investment returns.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance financial systems and processes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects as directed by the Financial Controller.
Compensation: $95,000.00 to $115,000.00 per hour
