Job Summary

At Texas Institute for Surgery, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a key member of our hospital staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of patient registrations and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain thorough and accurate patient information in a timely and efficient manner
  • Interact with ancillary departments and staff to ensure quality care for all patients
  • Provide language services by maintaining the InDemand system and translations
  • Schedule diagnostic procedures and verify insurance eligibility and authorizations
  • Perform medical necessity checks and prepare charts for future surgeries or procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in hospitality/customer service
  • Experience in health insurance billing, working in a clinical reception area, or serving in a medical administrative role preferred
  • Strong business etiquette, hospitality, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting and multitask in a fast-paced environment
