Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Territory Sales Professional to represent Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. to assigned customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and possess excellent communication skills to promote product features and benefits to key accounts. As a sales professional, you will be responsible for achieving or exceeding sales objectives, building relationships with customer stakeholders, and maintaining a current target list to meet goals.
About the Role:
- Sales Objectives: Achieve or exceed sales targets by promoting product features and benefits to key accounts, including Academic Institutions, Hospitals, Infusion Centers, Nephrologists, Hematologists, Hospitalist, PCPs/IMs, Bloodless Surgery, buying groups, distributors, and wholesalers in assigned territories.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including personally visiting them, educating, and influencing physicians and healthcare providers to prescribe Daiichi Sankyo, Inc.'s promoted products.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Analyze customer needs and interests to provide tailored solutions and maintain a current target list, submitting regular updates to the customer database and planning calls to meet goals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comply with applicable laws in providing healthcare providers with accurate information concerning Daiichi Sankyo, Inc.'s products.
- Training and Development: Participate in assigned training programs and complete outside reading to stay up-to-date on products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
- Disease State Expertise: Serve as a disease state expert and provide high-level product expertise and customer service for all accounts.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Experience: 4 or more years of overall related experience required, with 1 or more years of sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or medical industry. Specialty, rare disease, and/or oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 60%.
- Licensing and Certification: Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:
The targeted base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000. Compensation and seniority level/title based on experience and qualifications. Eligible for sales incentive and long-term incentive based on performance. A company vehicle and comprehensive health care benefits at a reasonable cost are also included.
