Job Summary:

The Leasing Professional is responsible for marketing and leasing apartment homes to prospective residents. This role requires exceptional customer service, sales, and communication skills, as well as an understanding of the rental market, TAM Residential's policies and procedures, and Fair Housing Laws.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintain the quality appearance of the leasing center at all times.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of leasing aids and forms.
  • Use the telephone professionally and effectively for leasing.
  • Greet, show, and lease to qualified prospects.
  • Collect security deposits and application fees from prospects following company policy.
  • Comprehend and explain the lease contract.
  • Verify new move-in packets following company standards.
  • Understand and abide by Fair Housing Laws.
  • Achieve and maintain an average closing ratio of 50% or better.
  • Maintain a working relationship with referral agencies.
  • Shop competitive properties and know current rental rates.
  • Report to work on time with a neat and professional appearance.
  • Assist with resident activities and communication.
  • Meet with new residents to ensure satisfaction in their new apartment home.
  • Assist in obtaining renewal of expiring leases.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer or typing skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
  • Ability to work from multiple locations.
  • Ability to perform other duties as required.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to frequently, and sometimes for long periods of time, sit, stand, climb and descend stairs, walk, extend arms and hands forward and overhead, using fingers to grasp, and carry.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, or stoop on occasion.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs occasionally, frequently up to 15 pounds.
  • Must have up-close and distance vision.
Compensation:
  • $22.00-$24.00 Per Hour
Schedule:
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday-Saturday
Benefits:

Associates who are regularly scheduled for and work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for company-sponsored benefits the 1st day of the month, following completion of 30 continuous days of employment. Benefits offered include medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401K and life insurance. Regular, full-time associates are eligible to accrue paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.

Associates are eligible to accrue up to 15 days (120 hours) of paid time off (PTO) per year. Accrued and unused PTO shall carryover from year to year up to a maximum accrual cap of 10 days (80 hours).
