Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to help patients receive accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain high-quality scans.
  • Deliver patient care and maintain department standards of quality improvement.
  • Document patient records, including inventories of supplies and patient statistics.
  • Secure pertinent patient history for each procedure to provide radiologists with adequate information.
  • Comply with established safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being.
Requirements:
  • ARDMS Registry eligible; successful completion within first year of employment.
  • Possess high degree of technical knowledge to perform specialized U/S studies with minimal assistance.
  • Able to make diagnostic judgments and present them to radiologists for interpretation.
  • CPR Certification.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to adjust to flexible hours and odd hours (late hours on call).
  • Ability to respond to emergency call-back in minimal time.
  • Exposed to radiation.
  • Ability to operate portable equipment.
  • Ability to deal with extremely ill patients.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and to use patient handling equipment when necessary. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
